Retraining with qualification - cook

GfB offers retraining in various occupational fields to achieve a completed and qualified vocational training. The retraining to become a cook is based on the regular vocational training framework and lasts 24 months. Two 3-month internships must be completed within this time. Preparation for the theoretical and practical examinations at the IHK are just as much a part of the retraining as application training and support in finding a job.

The retraining is aimed at people who want to change or reorient themselves professionally and who have a (good) secondary school leaving certificate. With the successful completion of the retraining, various further training courses can be followed. Willingness to work weekends, holidays and shifts must be established.

Funding, for example via an education voucher, must be approved by the job centre, the employment agency or the pension insurance.
